The code has been reviewed, the presentations seen, now it’s time to demonstrate the solution if the teams hope to ship it! Here’s what the teams had to say:
1. Unicorns – Raise It The target was to create a platform that can connect start-ups in India with the right investment parties for funding opportunities. As a response to this, the Unicorns created – ‘Investx’, to connect investors and investees with one another. This platform will function as the ‘middle-man’ and allow investors to identify information about companies – founder details, funding rounds, organization profile while helping start-ups in the selection of investors. QlikSense was used as the analytical tool.
2. Parikrama – Farmer Connect They were tasked with creating a platform that encouraged farmer growth and engagement or bonding within the community. Parikrama created an application to provide farming as a service – Saarthi that would act as the farmers guide using an Electric Imp to capture climatic changes and better inform the farmers. Supported by a mobile responsive portal, Saarthi serves as an educational tool asking the farmers visual questions in order to better understand the situation and provide suggestions accordingly. In addition to this, the app also encourages connection between the community by encouraging them to connect with one another and earn loyalty points in return.
3. Royal Brigade – Waste to Fuel The Royal Brigade was asked to create a waste management platform. Rising to the task they developed WTF – Waste To Fuel, an environmental waste management system. Built as a mobile application, it has three interfaces for – trash donor, collector, and driver. A smart bin developed using Rasberry Pi sends the recycler a notification when the bin is full. The driver can then come and scan the trash to identify plastic bottles which can be recycled to create fuel. Donors are incentivized through a leaderboard displaying – revenue generated, fuel generated, a social share option as well as a referral code. Finally, data analytics was incorporated to select donors who followed the pre-set waste management rules.
